Let's be honest.
Losing stinks.
Nobody enjoys it.
Not kids.
Not parents.
Not coaches.
Nobody walks off the field thinking...
"That was fun. I loved getting beaten."
So why do we keep putting kids in situations where losing is possible?
Because that's where some of life's biggest lessons begin.
That's the power of learning resilience through sports.
Every kid wants to win
Of course they do.
Winning feels good.
The high fives.
The excitement.
The smiles on the drive home.
There's nothing wrong with celebrating success.
But if winning is the only thing that feels worthwhile, sport becomes a pretty stressful place.
That's why learning resilience through sports matters so much.
Kids need to know that their value doesn't change when the scoreboard does.
